Classes Resume Jan 2nd

Hope everyone had a great New Year!

We are officially open for classes again tomorrow, Jan 2nd.  We still have a few minor things that need to be finished, but we are fully functional for training.  The space is looking great too.  I sent an email to all active athletes who provided an email address with our details.

Looking forward to seeing everyone back for training.  Here is a picture of the building too.  We are on the back side, behind the Wizards.

New Davis Speed Center is almost done

Hey guys just a quick update.  The new speed center is getting close to being done.  Opening Jan 2nd will be no problem.  It’s looking really good too.

The turf field is laid, the plyo boxes and footspeed boards are almost done.  The weight room is pretty much set up minus a little set back trying to put a nice color coat on the weights.  Thanks to everyone who came to help us get the plates finished.

We might not have all of our window decals and signage up for Monday, so I want to clarify where our building is:

975 Nimco Dr

Unit M

Crystal Lake, IL 60014.

Unit M is on the backside of the building.  All the way at the end.  If you see the Wizards Wrestling unit, we are directly behind them.

I have had a lot of emails and phone calls this week too.  I am trying to get to everyone within a day or so.  But once I start working in the morning their isn’t much down time:)

If anyone needs to reach us, please call me on my cell phone.  815-546-7621.  The phone system is not hooked up in the new building yet.

Here are a few pictures so you can see some progress.

Last week of classes at CMA Building

Hey everyone, just updating that this will be the last week of classes at the CMA Building.  We are well on our way to having the new facility ready for the New Year.  Should have some pictures up Wednesday.

Remember we are closed for speed during the transition week Dec 26th – Jan 2nd.  We should be able to have our strength program open that week though.  Contact Quint with questions.

Speed Program will be open again on Jan 2nd.  Check back Wednesday for updated schedule too.

The new address is 975 Nimco Dr. Unit M.

Thanks everyone and have a very Merry Christmas!

Congrats to Streveler for Player of the Year Honors!

Davis Speed Center Athlete Chris Streveler earned player of the year honors for his efforts this year in Marians great season.  Chris was a dominate force on the field this year.  A true statement to hard off season work paying off!  Streveler is now the 8th Player of the year who has trained at DSC in the past 9 seasons.  Congrats Chris!

New Scheduling

Hey everyone, we have had lots of questions on the new scheduling.  I know it’s a kind of headache up front here.  I want to go over a few issues here.

1. I have no way to mark you as paid until you create your profile online.  Once you do that, I can add your payments in.  You should be able to schedule an unpaid visit though.  So go ahead and schedule and I will take care of entering your payment.

2. If you cannot book a time that you want because the session has closed off, please contact me.  This means that we are at capacity for that hour.  If I can get another training to help, I will open that time up.  Get on the wait list and text me (815) 546-7621.  I want everyone to train when they can, but I also don’t want 10 people in a session with a trainer.  I think that the smaller class size will help you to get better training.

3. Any other issues please call me (815) 546-7621.  I want to make this as smooth of a transition as possible.

Thanks everyone!

Dave

"I believe working with Davis Speed Center since my freshman year of high school was a big reason why I achieved so much success. The training is exactly what is needed to take an athlete to the next level. Even while playing at Iowa, I made sure to stop in for a workout with Dave when I was home on break.
Thanks Dave for the help!"
